NBA Playoff Preview
This NBA playoff preview is sure to offer up a few controversial opinions!
The NBA playoffs are upon us, and it’s time to breakdown the matchups with this NBA playoff preview. There are a few matchups that I think the public are grossly underestimating, and this NBA playoff preview will be more than enough to raise a few eyebrows. I am CrazyGabey after all!
NBA Playoff Preview
Hawks vs Pacers
Despite the Pacers recent poor play, I just don’t think the Hawks have enough firepower to get the job done. I do think it’s imperative Indiana end this series early though, as a long drawn out series with no rest before the second round would be disastrous to their playoff run.
Bobcats vs Heat
I actually think this series may be tougher for the Heat than most people believe. Al Jefferson is a one-man wrecking crew, and his strength places a glaring light on the Heat’s primary weakness. If Kemba Walker can step up on the big stage I expect this series to be a fun to watch, with the Heat eventually coming out on top.
Nets vs Raptors
It’s no secret by now that the Raptors are my pet team, and I’m sticking by my prediction that they have a legitimate shot at making the NBA Finals. That of course means I also believe they will handily dispatch of the Nets, as the athleticism of Toronto will eventually be too much for the aging stars to handle.
Wizards vs Bulls
I don’t see the Wizards as being on the same level as the Bulls, as their offense can be spotty at times and they lack tenacity on the defensive end of the floor. I think they’ll take a game or two, but the Bulls are one of the more polished teams in the entire league.
Mavericks vs Spurs
This to me represents the second-biggest mismatch outside of the Hawks/Pacers series. Looking at the Mavs roster is saddening, and I simply do not think they have the talent to compete with the best-coached team in the league. Dirk is always an X-Factor in the playoffs, but I don’t think even he can overcome Popovich.

Upset ALERT
Grizzlies vs Thunder
Upset alert! The Grizzlies are the underdog I believe has the best shot at a first-round upset. I honestly believe losing in the first round would be a long-term boon to the Thunder, as Durant and company will only go as far as Coach Scott Brooks’ deficiencies will allow them to go. Due to that fact I think the Grizzlies defense could clamp down and force a decisive game seven.
Warriors vs Clippers
Without Andrew Bogut the already-sketchy Warriors become an easy team to pick against. The Clippers are playing some of the best basketball in the NBA, and I could easily see this one becoming a sweep.
Trailblazers vs Rockets
The Rockets are one of a handful of teams in the West with a serious title chance, and the Blazers unfortunately are not on that list. Due to Houston’s style of play I expect Portland to take a couple games, but I give them also zero chance at winning the series.
Do you think my NBA playoff preview is accurate? Leave a comment below and let me know!
I think the Dubs get a couple games. If Klay had kept his mouth shut, they may have had a chance. But now the bull in a China shop has been awoken. Even if it is a sweep, it should be a great series to watch.
Yeah Klay is a complete idiot.
Hawks in 7! Danny Ferry is upset about losing the lottery pick, so the Hawks decided they are gonna win it all!!!
As you may know I’m a big fan of chaos. I would love nothing more than to see the Hawks win it all.
