Five Guys Daily Basketball Expert Top Plays 3-28-14
Tonight’s daily basketball expert top plays will look for big things from our big men!
Positional spending is an aspect of daily fantasy basketball that isn’t talked about often, but is of vital importance. When you choose to go with value plays at a certain position, you’re banking that the value plays finish close enough in fantasy points to the top players so that it won’t be a huge discrepancy. The risk here is that a highly owned player will blow up, rendering your daily basketball expert top plays with a large amount of fantasy points to make up at another position. For example, if you take a value center who scores 25 fantasy points, and a conventional, highly owned center goes off for 55 fantasy points, you’ll need to make up those 30 fantasy points somewhere. When constructing your roster you must ask yourself for instance, is my top point guard play capable of outscoring the conventional point guard value play by 30 fantasy points?
This is a solid way to break down our daily basketball expert top plays, and often times you’ll find that choosing the correct spot to chase value is as important as the actual value play itself. With that in mind we’ll examine our daily basketball expert top plays for this evening.

Five Guys Daily Basketball Expert Top Plays
DeMarcus Cousins $13,500 - Howdy Boogie, it’s good to see you back here so soon. Cousins is still sporting an absurd price tag, and you won’t find anyone else in this price range who sports consistent 50 fantasy point upside.
Al Jefferson $13,100 - Big Al is close though! He doesn’t quit have the regularity of DMC, but he does sport an insane usage rate on a team with very few scoring options. This alone makes him a solid bet to hit value every night, and when you take into account the discounted price tag he’s easy enough to roster.
Eric Bledsoe $10,200 - I think it’s safe to say that Bledsoe’s minutes have normalized, and with the Suns making a mad dash to the finish line in order to make the playoffs, I don’t foresee a change. He’s paid off this price tag in four straight games now, and tonight’s matchup with the Knicks awful perimeter defense should be a field day.
Tim Duncan $10,800 - Duncan has dominated the Nuggets in recent years, and tonight’s game is expected to be closer than I first imagined. If you promised me Timmy would see a bare minimum of 30 minutes I’d be sold on him as the top overall play of the night.
Jordan Hill $8,400 - Finally released from the Mike D’Antoni doghouse, Hill has been an absolute revelation over the past week. Tonight’s game with the T-Wolves will be fast-paced, and that means Hill will be in for huge evening if he can stay out of foul trouble.
Question of the Day: Which non-elite team will make the biggest splash in the postseason?
