Daily Fantasy Golf Picks - The Memorial Tournament
We’re hoping the rain holds off for our daily fantasy golf picks.

Justin Rose is worth every penny of his $19,950 DraftDay salary this weekend.
The Muirfield Village Golf Club is where this weekend’s field will be teeing off. It’s a par-72 course that sprawls 7,337 yards, sporting a slope rating of 153. The course record is 61 by John Huston back in 1996. The weather looks menacing on Tuesday, with a 60% chance of thunderstorms. Many in Ohio believe the course is built on a Native American burial ground, thus cursing it. Silly, I know, but it does seem to rain every year. The weather looks great after Thursday, so one way or another every hole should be played by our daily fantasy golf picks.
Fortunately I live about 20 minutes away from where the Memorial tournament is being played. I’m hoping this leads to a big weekend for my daily fantasy golf picks as the local sports radio stations have done nothing except preview the field for us. The course is going to be in rough shape as the weather conditions have been terrible the last few weeks. I’m hoping that will give me an edge this weekend that many aren’t thinking about. Enough jibber jabber lets get to the money makers.
DraftDay features a host of exciting tournaments this weekend. Draft a team for the $109 Angry Birdies and win $750! If that’s not your cup of tea there’s the $15 Mulligan and $2.20 Big Easy. Both are excellent ways to sweat your PGA action.
Daily Fantasy Golf Picks
All player salaries use DraftDay pricing.
Bo Van Pelt $13,350 - In the spirit of the baseball season I’ll lead off with Bo Van Pelt. I’m not usually a BVP guy, but Bo Van Pelt has four top-21 finishes at Muirfield including three inside the top-13. BVP will provide salary relief so you can fit in the big boys. One of my favorite plays for the price.
Luke Donald $19,150 - There’s not much I can say about Luke except that he loves this course. He has made the cut six straight times and four of those were top-15 finishes. I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up winning the entire thing. I think he will go very overlooked this weekend due to his elevated price tag.
Rory Sabatini $16,750 - Rory has five consecutive top-20 finishes here at Dublin. Tough to argue with that as his price will not break the bank either. Sabatini isn’t the biggest of names, so I’m hoping he will go under the radar enough to help me win a large tournament. A top-10 finish would certainly pay off this modest price tag.
Justin Rose $19,950 - Rose is on fire, finishing top-15 in the last four tournaments he’s participated in. It’s very difficult to argue against taking a guy this locked in right now. Rose also comes with a solid price discount from the other top players. I will be very shocked if he doesn’t make my final roster this.
Brendon Todd $17,000 - He followed up his first career PGA Tour win in Dallas with a T-5 showing at Colonial. While Todd has never played in this event before, he has eight straight sub-70 rounds for the third time this year. He is putting very well right now, and with the course conditions not optimal this could easily come down to navigating the greens.
Daily Fantasy Golf Tip - I am avoiding Phil Mickelson at this price. $19,250 seems too expensive for Lefty this weekend. He’s gone a career-worst 15 straight events without a top-10 finish, and with other daily fantasy golf picks performing well recently for the the same price he makes an easy fade. The rough at Muirfield is very thick, which will limit the spectacular shots we are accustomed to seeing out of this all-time great.
