Fantasy Sports Live Update 5-28-14
The Fantasy Sports Live Update is the perfect remedy for hump day blues.
Tonight’s DraftDay Action
The great people of DraftDay are brightening up an otherwise gloomy hump day, allowing you to play in the $109 Field of Dreams, the $15 Knuckleball, and the ever-affordable $3.30 Wiz Walkoff. I would enter now and start planning an angle of attack, as taking down a top spot in each of these tournaments a la HoneyBadger style is the task before you. Sure, you could be like every other boring American. Grab a case of Bud Light and some Cheetos while snuggling up on the couch with your current squeeze for tonight’s Catfish marathon on MTV. Or you could grow up and play some daily fantasy sports. Spoiler alert! That show is fake, and the people are all actors. There you go! I ruined the ending. Now you have no excuse but to at least pony up the $18.30 you were going to spend on light beer and junk food, and use it to take your shot at the Knuckleball and Wiz Walkoff tonight. HoneyBadger won $575 yesterday on that same exact buy-in. I personally think he is better than you. Prove me wrong.

DraftDay Update
$109 Field of Dreams
What a fitting end to a high-scoring night in Tuesday’s Field of Dreams, as ALLOFIT29 (258) took all $2,000 of the first place prize on the strength of CJ Cron’s 8th inning homer. Colin HcHugh came up big as well for ALLOFIT29 during his quest to become a double thousandaire, leading the pitching pack with 53 points worth of fantasy goodness. HoneyBadger (243) showed little remorse as usual, dominating his opponents on the coattails of a strong night by Sean Rodriguez‘s 44 points. The bronze medal for the night goes to another Colin McHugh benefactor in lipsgardner (234), who also enjoyed a Khris “Baby Krush” Davis‘ dong sighting in the Milwaukee/Baltimore shootout. Rounding out the money were iSplashRollz (229), AllOrNothing (224), Joesmo94 (217), and familiar faces SirMalcolm (217)and reztes757 (210).
$15 Knuckleball
HoneyBadger rolled out the same care-free lineup in the Knuckleball last night, and the 243 was good enough to cash Michael Phelps-style in first place, taking home another $500. Schmitcj (237) went with the incredible under-owned pitching duo of Lance Lynn and Wade Miley, and it paid off big time. A few more triple-digit payouts went to stevietpfl (236) and iSplashRollz (229), who channeled his inner Nostradamus by playing Tommy Medica, rewarding himself with an 8th inning dong. AllOrNothing (224) took down spots four and five. Also cracking the top ten were floydsbud (222), fryeislander (222), MattTruss223 (221), and CrazyGabey‘s homie scoregasmic (217).
$3.30 Wiz Walkoff
Big shout out to Boomboom (252) for cruising to a Wiz Walkoff win last night on the strength of Ruben Tejada and his big evening. It didn’t hurt that Tejada and Matt Holliday (50) were each less than 2% owned in the 223 person field. Need I mention HoneyBadger again? Second or better in each of the big tourneys makes for a nice night in anyone’s book. I’m sure the HoneyBadger doesn’t even care about shoutouts, but making your way into three separate paragraphs is a largely unprecedented accomplishment and worthy of note. A lot of the same names finish out our recap of the Wiz Walkoff, as iSplashRollz (229), AllOrNothing (224 x3), MattTruss223 (221), mrgabby (218), scoregasmic (217), and SirMalcolm (217) finished out the top ten.
Coming Up Today
Coming up today we have CrazyGabey bringing you another dose of Five Guys. If you haven’t yet feasted your eyes upon the fantasy goodness that the beard brings you, you have not yet lived. Dong lovers rejoice! CrazyGabey brought you a dong last time, and with each new article he brings you new hope of another dong sighting. Dooger has PGA picks for the Memorial tournament, and I’m going to bring you my take on the San Antonio Spurs troubles later this afternoon. Stick around, this could be fun.
I’m sure I don’t need to remind you about Josh Shepardson and his Picks to Click article from yesterday, where he brought you a few diamonds in the rough. Jason Castro (23) and Martin Prado (27) namely. Last night was the time to find value plays and ride them all the way to the bank. If you took advantage of the value play wisdom that Josh bestowed upon the world, you likely had plenty of salary left to pay up for some top performers.

CrazyGabey’s Five Guys league was a big hit last night, as we once again took advantage of DraftDay’s Flex Buy-In feature, bringing 18 players onto the battleground. A familiar foe, scoregasmic (217) is king of the world for at least one day, as he edged out MD0530 and Lance Lynn‘s complete game shutout of the Yankees. Another phenomenal name in the industry, reacharound (201), became a member of the double-century club, while punching a ticket to this weekend’s freeroll on the way. Another Tommy Medica believer, mattgoody (199), and rrt7573 (196) each punched their tickets as well. I would be remiss in my duties if I failed to mention SirMalcolm (192), the host himself CrazyGabey (171), and nedjays (168) also finding their way into the cash.
