Fantasy Sports Live Podcast 6-3-14
Tuesday’s Fantasy Sports Live Podcast is here, and with it comes bigger payouts!
DraftDay is hosting the $109 buy-in Field of Dreams, with Tuesday’s edition offering a $5,000 prize pool, including $2,000 to first place! Joining a qualifier is a great way to take a big shot at this tourney! Instead of going to Ruby Tuesday’s on your lunch break for the terrible salad bar that won’t fill you up anyway, pack a lunch and save your money. You can use the $15 to play the Knuckleball, with a chance at taking home $500! If you feel like you missed out, you can buy a hell of a lot of bland food with half of a grand. Cleaning out your couch cushions this afternoon? Perfect. Take the $3.30 in change that you just found and enter the Wiz Walkoff! First place is still a cool $100, and it is multiple entry eligible, so if cleaning the couch is just an annual event for you maybe you’ll find enough for a few entries.
DraftDay Update
$109 Field of Dreams
Joe Mauer‘s quietly solid night (28 points) led heartoftx (266) to a slim victory over Boc4life (263) in Monday’s Field of Dreams. Coming in the bronze medal position was lipsgardner (230), followed by dbsultan (217), and TwoGun (207). Kyle Seager‘s superhuman 89-point performance paved the way for each of the top three finishers, and as expected, Clayton Kershaw (51) was a main staple in four of the top five lineups.
$15 Knuckleball
The $15 Knuckleball was also taken down by a score of 266, but this one was won by Schmitcj, who was yet another beneficiary of Kyle Seager‘s monster performance. Even more impressive for Schmitcj was the fact that he won with only 7 points from Shelby Miller and 31 points from “The Dinosaur” Bartolo Colon. Second place was Beemstar33 (253), followed closely by joeyrocc (239), zulks (248), and dbsultan bringing up the rear of the top five with 217.
$3.30 Wiz Walkoff
Oddly enough, the $3.30 Wiz Walkoff was won with the lowest score of the three tournaments, as Tony167 (258) made a name for himself, cashing in first place despite not rostering Kyle Seager. His duo of Clayton Kershaw and Felix Hernandez lived up to expectations, delivering 92 points by the time all was said and done. Beemstar33 (253), joeyrocc (249), FreeFreddie (231), and fjk123 (227) also climbed their way into the shoutout zone, aka the top five.
Coming Up Today
If you tuned in to the Fantasy Sports Live Podcast yesterday, you likely took full advantage of Josh Shepardson’s Picks to Click, which were stuffed from top to bottom with great plays for you at DraftDay. He touted Clayton Kershaw over Felix Hernandez, as well as bringing you value play gold mines Neil Walker (44), Joe Mauer (28), and Bobby Abreu (23). Nearly all of your work was done for you free of charge, and guess what? Shep is back at it today with his latest edition of diamonds in the rough for Tuesday’s action.
If you’re a PGA fan, Dooger will be bringing you his plays for the upcoming week today. If you’re not a golf fan, why not check it out anyways? We all like making money without doing any work, right? You can thank him later.
