Fantasy Sports Live Podcast - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Let our Week 7 fantasy football podcast help you prepare to win big!
Week 7 of NFL action is here, and with it comes even more craziness, which has become par for the course this season. There are injuries, depth-chart shakeups, and returns from some oft-injured players. Justin and I break down some of our favorite targets for all of the great upcoming action!
Quarterback is the main focus of an offense, and we got things started by talking about some of our top gunslingers for this week. I went with Cam Newton, who finally seems to be recovered from rib and angle injuries as my favorite of the bunch. Justin rolled with Philip Rivers, who is putting up MVP-type numbers, but is still at a mid-tier price.
Running backs were a tale of ex-teammates, as I went with Ben Tate in his juicy matchup against the Jaguars. Justin went with Arian Foster against a Steelers team that can’t seem to remember how to tackle.
We shifted focus over to wide receiver, and I kicked off the festivities with the matchup-proof Julio Jones, who is averaging an insane 11.5 targets per game. The matchup against Baltimore isn’t ideal, but Julio has always remained the most consistent player for the Falcons, regardless of matchup. Justin is hoping to take advantage of a depressed price tag for Keenan Allen in his matchup with Kansas City.
Generally, there are a few elite options at tight end, but this week is not one of them. I am sticking with “Washington Redskins TE”, AKA Jordan Reed. The tight end is such a huge part of the Washington offense, and with Reed healthy, he is an easy choice for me. Justin went with Clay Harbor, a guy who seems to be under the radar regardless of output, in his matchup with the Browns.
Defense is an easy one this week, as I’m rolling out the Ravens and their tough pass defense against the Falcons and Matt Ryan’s struggles on the road. Justin likes the Browns for cash games because, well, they are playing the abomination also known as the Jacksonville Jaguars offense.
