Five Guys Expert Basketball Daily Top Plays 3-25-14
Each night we feature five expert basketball daily top plays, but now I want to feature you!
In the footsteps of other noteworthy announcements through history, I’d like to proudly present the Five Guys Tournament Series! This is going to be a great way for us to battle against one another, and I couldn’t be more excited. Monday through Friday there will be a special Five Guys Double-Up tournament. Just like normal, this tournament will pay out to the top 50% of participants — but there’s a twist. The top five players each night will receive entry into an exclusive freeroll at the end of the week. The freeroll will feature the five winners from each weeknight, for a total of 25 contestants. The top five finishers in this special tournament will receive prizes, and be my featured five guys for the week! Players may have more than one entry into the end-of-week freeroll. The cost to enter the Monday through Friday double-ups are only .25¢, and you can even enter using tournament dollars.
Five Guys Expert Basketball Daily Top Plays
Jarrett Jack $8,600 - Sometimes it only takes a spark, and after spending much of this season mired in malaise, Jack has seemingly righted the ship over the last few games. He’s playing well alongside Dion Waiters, and at this price tag you can afford to take a wide range of outcomes on the chin. I wouldn’t expect too much upside from him, as last game was more outlier than anything, but we have seen him have games like that as recently as last season with Golden State.
Dion Waiters $10,300 - Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Waiters has proven himself to be a monster with Kyrie Irving out of the lineup, and he’s now averaging 26.0 points, 2.8 boards, and 4.7 assists over his last three games. Target him tonight as his monstrous usage rate will lend itself to heavy volume.
Victor Oladipo $9,000 - Here’s another beneficiary of a veteran injury. Jameer Nelson will rest his sore knee tonight, and that means Oladipo will draw another start. In the previous three games that Nelson has missed, Victor has logged 37, 36, and 39 minutes. If that continues tonight he should have no issue paying off this measly price tag.
DeMar DeRozan $12,400 - It’s tough to pass on the top options at each position, especially on short slate devoid of multiple options. DeMar is the only shooting guard this evening who stands a reasonable chance of 40-50 fantasy points, and that alone places him in heavy consideration for me.
Jordan Hill $8,000 / Chris Kaman $7,600 - I group these two together, because deciphering Mike D’Antoni’s rotations can leave one genuinely flummoxed. I’m not sure which I’m not sure which of these two will have the bigger night, but I do think both are in heavy consideration if you need a cheap option to anchor your high-end players.
