Fantasy Sports Live Podcast 9-9-14
Today’s fantasy sports daily podcast prepares you for a huge night of fantasy baseball!
Today’s fantasy sports daily podcast opens with some from the hip review of yesterday’s Monday Night Football games, and one thing is clear-Larry Fitzgerald pulled perhaps the most impressive magic trick any of us have ever seen last night. To disappear in plain sight during a primetime NFL game in week one is certainly David Copperfield-esque. All jokes aside, it will definitely be interesting to see what happens moving forward with the Cardinals passing game. Clayton Kershaw and Felix Hernandez were both outscored by Marcus Stroman by the way, so just in case you were thinking all might be normal in the daily fantasy baseball world, it’s not.
We kicked things off with some shoutouts for our big-time DraftDay featured winners. Not only did we boost the profiles of last night’s MLB winners, but we also waxed poetic over the weekend’s big NFL takedowns. Finish top-five, get your shoutout. Got it?
Justin and I then chatted about Josh Shepardson’s Top Five Fantasy Football Tight Ends for week two. I decided to talk up Jared Cook, while Justin went the slightly more sane route of espousing Zach Ertz’s virtue.
Next up was daily fantasy baseball analysis, which always starts with weather concerns. Unfortunately their are two issues today, and both are projected to affect high-scoring matchups. Tune in for full details. The Vegas lines for today look fairly chalk, with nothing really standing out as odd.
My Five Guys via Josh Shepardson’s Picks to Click article are Jacob deGrom, Derek Norris, Josh Dongaldson, Michael Brantley, and Kole Calhoun. Justin’s Two Cents are Jon Lester and Lonnie Chisenhall. Make sure you consider all of them for your lineups.
And just like that, we were finished! Tune in tomorrow for another fantasy sports daily podcast.
