Fantasy Sports Live Podcast 9-24-14
Today’s DFS Podcast has a wealth of fantasy baseball and fantasy football discussion.
Lots of great content to discuss today, but first off Justin and I had to discuss last night’s abysmal daily fantasy baseball scoring environment. We predicted a crazy low scoring night based on the Vegas odds, and it turned out as we expected. Once again I had to prod Justin for refusing to listen to my starting pitcher advice. I also had an extremely irrelevant story to tell, but I have a feeling you’ll get a laugh out of it like I did.
Things kicked off with a quick recap of last night’s featured MLB winners. Our very own Dooger took home the top spots in two of three featured tournaments, and has generally been on fire over the last two weeks.
From there we transitioned into Week 4’s top five fantasy football running backs. Josh Shepardson did a great job breaking down this week’s top options. I chose to highlight Le’Veon Bell, while Justin opted to talk about Ahmad Bradshaw. Both are great options for your fantasy football teams this weekend.
Next up we chose to discuss the top five fantasy football wide receivers for Week 4. Once again, Josh Shepardson did an excellent job of pointing out the top options price considered. I discussed Michael Crabtree, and Justin wanted to tell everyone about Antonio Brown, which is big of him considering his Bengals fandom.
Next up was Denny’s Deals, an article that highlights each week’s top fantasy football defenses. I talked about the Detroit Lions and Justin went with the Oakland Raiders, a team you wouldn’t expect to see here.
Finally, we delved into daily fantasy baseball analysis. No weather concerns make it a stress-free day, and there’s also nothing strange within tonight’s Vegas lines to worry over. I picked my Five Guys from Josh Shepardson’s Picks to Click. Jason Castro, Adam LaRoche, Scooter Gennett, Justin Upton, and Christian Yelich are the names you need to keep in mind. Justin went with Clayton Kershaw and Matt Kemp as his Two Cents.
See you tomorrow for another DFS Podcast!
