Fantasy Sports Live Podcast 9-23-14
Today’s DFS podcast will fill your pockets with more than lint!
With Week 3 officially in the books, we turn our attention to Week 4 on today’s DFS podcast. Justin and I had both had success using Josh Shepardson’s fantasy football research in Week 3, and we’re looking forward to similar success in Week 4. Let’s dive into today’s DFS podcast and get our lineup-building juices flowing!
We kicked things off talking about last night’s featured MLB winners, as well as Week 3’s featured NFL winners! Very interesting lineups took down top spots, and if you’re like us you’re itching to try out lots of different lineup combinations this weekend!
Next up on the DFS podcast agenda was the top five fantasy football tight ends for Week 4. Josh Shepardson did a phenomenal job in his article, and I suggest you all read it right now. I chose to talk about Greg Olsen, and he’s an interesting option to say the least. Justin chose to ramble on and on about Delanie Walker, which was fine by me since the man has been on fire to open the fantasy football season.
We then transitioned over to daily fantasy baseball talk. Tonight’s weather concerns play out rather simply, as there simply are none. It’s an overcast, chilly time of the year, but the threat of storms is beginning to dissipate. Tonight’s Vegas odds were the lowest combined run totals I’ve ever seen, with six out of 15 games sporting a total of 6.5 runs or lower. There are four main matchups you should be deriving your hitters from.
Lastly we hit on Josh Shepardson’s fantasy baseball Picks to Click. The man has been on fire with his selections all season, so if you’re late to the party make sure you use his plays during baseball’s final week. I chose to highlight Gerritt Cole, Victor Martinez, Josh Donaldson, Nick Franklin, and Andrew McCutchen as my Five Guys for tonight. Justin’s Two Cents were J.D. Martinez and David Price.
See you tomorrow for another DFS podcast!
