Fantasy Sports Live Podcast 6-4-14
Your hump day Fantasy Sports Live Podcast is here!
Wednesday always brings a great slate of MLB games, with tonight being no exception. Starting at the top, we have the $109 Field of Dreams, with a top prize of $1,000. Can’t afford the $109? For the price of some roller food and a big gulp ($5.50), you can enter a qualifier and win your way to the top! Do yourself a favor and skip the junk food for a day. In the grand scheme of things, your heart will be better off without a hot dog injected full of seven different cheeses (although they are so delicious, right CrazyGabey?). If you want to take a shot at some big time money without a big time investment, the $15 Knuckleball is perfect for you. Outlast the competition in this one and take home $500. My favorite game each night is the $3.30 Wiz Walkoff. I usually have at least two entries in this bad boy, and it’s a great way to take home a nice lump of cash. I’m calling you out! Everyone can find $8.80 to spare on a boring Wednesday night, so put off your trip to the laundry mat for a day, take your bag of quarters and use it to enter a qualifier and the Wiz Walkoff. Ever dream of owning your very own washer and dryer??? Take down a qualifier, and you may be playing for your share of thousands tomorrow night.
DraftDay Update
$109 Field of Dreams
Last night was packed full of dongs, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. Tuesday’s Field of Dreams was taken down by AllOrNothing (266) on the strength of taters from Adam Jones, Nelson Cruz, Xander Bogaerts, and Brian Dozier. Coming in second AND third was dbsultan (252, 251), who has become a staple on the leaderboards at DraftDay. Rounding out the top five were justgiants (237) and rrt7573 (229).
$15 Knuckleball
We had a new name atop the Knuckleball leaderboard on Tuesday, as fballjunkiee (316) rolled to an easy victory despite Jaime Garcia’s -3 points. It helped that his lineup contributed SIX dongs on the night, capped by a Brandon Moss double dong blowout. Dantraveler (284) took advantage of newcomer Nick Evans and his 27 point game at minimum salary. Once again, joeyrocc (271) was found near the top, and AllOrNothing (266) took down fourth and fifth.
$3.30 Wiz Walkoff
The Wiz Walkoff is generally the highest scoring contest, and last night was no exception with cameron1551 (348) taking advantage of eight different players scoring 32 or more points en route to a first place finish. Second place went to “some asshole” aka BigItaly42, as 316 was good enough for runner-up. Safety14 (308), jordanh415 (304), and our very own JoshShep50 (300) rounded out the elite group known as the top five. If I can finish second in a large tournament, you can win one! Get yourself in this field tonight!
Coming Up Today
I can’t rave enough about how remarkable Josh Shepardson’s “Picks to Click” article was yesterday. This guy is a machine. Just a brief summary,; he brought you Xander Bogaerts (48), Brandon Moss (58), Devin Mesoraco (32), Anthony Rendon (42), Adam Jones (49), Nelson Cruz (42), Zach Wheeler (37), and Gerritt Cole (36). These guys alone would have boosted you into the money in any of last night’s tournaments. This Nostradamus-esque type of information can’t just be found anywhere. Lucky for you, the window of opportunity is still open! Josh will be back today with more plays for your DrafyDay lineups. Make sure you don’t miss out this time! Your wallet will surely appreciate the effort.
Fantasy Sports Live League Update
Join the Fantasy Sports Live League now and earn your place on the League Leaderboard!
As I alluded to earlier, there was no shortage of dongs on Tuesday night. The Five Guys league was no exception. I (BigItaly42) took down first place for the first time with 316, followed by AllOrNothing (266), reneemiller (258), bsell25 (221), and CrazyGabey (217). Each of us are now entered in Saturday’s exclusive freeroll, and it is already shaping up to be one hell of a battle. Make sure you get in tonight! You and your trash talk are more than welcome to come show us how its done. As you know, CrazyGabey and I are HUGE proponents of trash talk, and we were both just discussing how you can’t beat us. Prove me wrong, then tell us all about it on Twitter. Peace!
