DraftDay Update
$109 Field of Dreams
In last night’s Field of Dreams, mtrealtalk (281) laid the smack down on other competitors, as he took advantage of a Braves stack that included Evan Gattis (64), Freddie Freeman (36), and Andrelton Simmons (47). Once again, the Coors field theory paid off, as there were 10 runs scored by the end of the first inning. Following in his footsteps were panoszack (237), radthad (220), MattTruss223 (217), and mattgoody (201).
$15 Knuckleball
In one of the tightest battles we have seen recently, the Knuckleball was decided on Jayson Werth‘s 5th inning RBI single, as newcomer Ragnor (229) outlasted cab912 (223), fryeislander (220), radthad (220), and mtneer1212 (218). The really remarkable thing was radthad and his solid strategy of rostering Justin Verlander, even though the game was postponed. Given Verlander’s recent attempts at ruining his good name, radthad certainly saw a negative coming, and took full advantage. Well played.
$3.30 Wiz Walkoff
There was no late night drama in the Wiz Walkoff, as benlaborde07 (252) controlled the top spot for most of the evening thanks to Anthony Rizzo and his monster 69-point game. RyanKeener (231) came in second, followed by fireguy (227), Verlander-basher radthad (220), and Homerikhan (219).
Coming Up Today
Josh is back to blow your mind once again with his Picks to Click article. Last night’s edition was littered with dongs, as Wilin Rosario, Freddie Freeman, and Andrew McCutcheon each sent one into the stratosphere. Including Christian Yelich (53), Josh brought you four of the top nine scorers on the night. Throw those guys in together, and you could have bought yourself a new Macaroni Yellow iPhone like CrazyGabey (just be sure to keep that dreaded Steelers color combo far, far away). If you haven’t checked out Dooger’s PGA plays, you had better hurry up and soak up some great information here. Fantasy golf lineups lock early tomorrow morning.
Fantasy Sports Live League Update
A familiar foe was found at the top of the leaderboard in CrazyGabey‘s Five Guys game, as rcf5415 (215) took home the glory. Coming up just short in a three-way tie were CrazyGabey, YukonYaks, and meandean5, each with 198. Also clinching a spot in this weekend’s EXCLUSIVE freeroll was Ballerzzz81 (197). The buy-in for this contest has been lowered to $1, so you have NO EXCUSE but to take a shot. You can earn some free money, but more importantly, some bragging rights. Kick some ass and let everyone know about it. You’ll even have the distinct pleasure of receiving a shoutout from CrazyGabey and I on the Fantasy Sports Live Podcast tomorrow. If you don’t have a dollar, borrow one. If you can’t borrow one, find one. If you can’t find one, look harder. See you tonight.
