2014 Week One Fantasy Football Podcast
Our week one fantasy football podcast has the plays you need to win big!
Trying to hit a big score this weekend? Of course you are! Our week one fantasy football podcast aims to make you a big winner in week one! Joining me this week was fantasy football expert and all around walking sports encyclopedia Josh Shepardson.
Josh and I love a few of this week’s games particularly because of their Las Vegas totals. New Orleans @ Atlanta, Indianapolis @ Denver, and San Francisco @ Dallas all seem like great choices for fantasy goodness.
Michael Crabtree potentially being out could hurt the 49ers chances, but if he sits then Vernon Davis would become a tremendous value play. Colin Kaepernick is likely looking at a solid start no matter what, as the 49ers defense projects to be worse than season than in year’s past. With that in mind the offense will be forced to shoulder the burden of carrying the team, which it will be more than capable of doing against an historically awful Cowboys unit.
Denver’s week one prospects became especially interesting this week with the loss of Wes Welker, as there is now a legitimate claim to be made for the vaunted third wide receiver position that last year saw Eric Decker decimating opponents. Cody Latimer is the most talented of the replacements, but Andre Caldwell has a history with Manning, and will likely get first crack at the job. Keep Latimer on your mind though.
Atlanta will be especially interesting, as a dilapidated offense last season led to low fantasy output across the board. With Julio Jones and Roddy White healthy heading into the season, look for Matt Ryan to capitalize and get back to his winning ways.
Be sure to tune in next week as we tackle week two’s fantasy football slate!
