NFL NEWS
- Jamaal Charles (ACL) was limited in practice this week. It doesn’t look like he will suit up this week, so you can expect Spencer Ware to be the starter, but he will split carries with Charcandrick West.
- Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is expected to play Sunday.
- Demaryius Thomas is questionable for Sunday with a hip injury, but likely to play. Emmanuel Sanders will be the No.1 wide recieiver if Thomas can not suit up.
- Chris Ivory will not play in Sunday’s game. T.J. Yeldon will be the Jaguars No.1 running back
- T.Y. Hilton is considered questionable for Sunday with an apparent knee injury he suffered in practice. If he’s out, Donte Moncrief will be the Colts ‘No.1 wide receiver.
- Kendall Wright (hamstring) will not suit up once again in Week 2. You can expect for Tajae Sharpe to continue to get his targets.
- Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) still isn’t 100% and has been ruled out.
- Devonte Parker (hamstring) was able to practice Thursday and looks like he will suit up forMohamed
- Mohaemed Sanu (ankle) was limited in Thursday’s practice, but will play on Sunday.
- Jonathan Stewart (ankle) is on track to play on Sunday.
- Russell Wilson (ankle) is practicing in full this week and will play on Sunday.
Top 3 Tournament Plays
QB
Joe Flacco
Salary $15,750
QB
BAL @ CLE
It’s time to find a tournament QB and that guy is Joe Flacco. Flacco is just one of those high risk/high reward. You never know what to expect from him, but his upside is through the roof. He will be going up against a Browns’ defense that he destroyed last season and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a similar result this Sunday. In those two meetings against the Browns, he threw for 522 yards and had a total of 48.18 fantasy points. This defense doesn’t seem to be much improved this year, which is why I would go ahead and use him in tournaments.
RB
T.J. Yeldon
Salary $8,850
RB
JAX @ SD
The news just came out that Chris Ivory will be out once again for Week 2, which is why I’m all over T.J. Yeldon. Last week, Yeldon had a total of 21 carries along with four receptions. That’s a whole lot of work he got and I’m expecting him to be heavily involved again this week. Yes, he’s not the best running back in the game and doesn’t have the best of matchups against the Chargers (only allowed 69 rushing yards in Week 1), but he has a beautiful price tag and will get a lot of touches. He allows you to pay up for other guys you love.
WR
Marvin Jones Jr.
Salary $10,450
WR
DET VS TEN
Everyone loved Marvin Jones last week and apparently everyone is off the Jones train this week. But why? He led the Lions in targets (10), and had a total of 85 yards on the day. He finished the day with 12.5 fantasy points (not too shabby) and I wouldn’t be surprised if he exceeded that total against the Titans. The matchup isn’t the best, but he’s heavily involved in the offense and has a nice price tag. Nothing more you can ask for if you’re trying to fill one of your flex spots.
