Fantasy Hockey Picks 11-8-14
These fantasy hockey picks will separate you from the pack tonight and help you win BIG money!
There is one early game at 3 P.M EST so be careful when checking the start times for your contests. I will not be considering that game as most contests do not include it.
Goalies:
Marc-Andre Fleury ($23,400) - Is by far the biggest favorite of the night to get the win. I can’t imagine Pittsburgh losing this game and if I can pay for Fleury I certainly will. He should get plenty of goals in support so the win should be a lock.
Craig Anderson ($17,750) - The Senators are finding ways to win games while continuing to give up a ton of shots. He is due for a blowup but as long as it’s not tonight I’m not concerned with it. The amount of shots he faces makes him a great GPP play as he seems to get over 30 saves a game.
Others: Ben Bishop, Brian Elliot
Centers:
Sidney Crosby ($17,300) - If you can’t find a way to play the best player in the world against the worst team in the NHL, then maybe you should just take a night off from NHL DFS tonight. He will be on every single one of my rosters.
Antoine Vermette ($8,150) - Vermette has 5 points in his last 3 games and his price is not rising. He is a very consistent player that rarely lets you down in a great matchup and comes at a discounted price. This all adds up to a solid play that will allow you to play some of the big guns from Pittsburgh.
Others: Valterri Flippula, Chris Vandevelde
Left Wing:
Clarke MacArthur ($11,550) - Somehow these Senators are getting it done and surprising a lot of teams. They like to play a very fast paced up and down game and that is great for fantasy purposes. MacArthur is on the top line and top power play unit. He is my target if I am looking for a forward from this team.
Matthew Nieto ($7,950) - Nieto has the privilege of skating with Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton. Both of them love to create scoring chances for their line mates and this bodes well for Nieto and a great discount on the salary cap.
Others: Pascal Dupuis, Andre Burakovsky
Right Wing:
Patric Hornqvist ($13,250) - If you can’t afford Crosby, make sure you get some exposure to him through Kunitz or Hornqvist. They both benefit greatly from skating with him at even strength and the top power play. Fortunately, they come at somewhat of a discount. Don’t be afraid to stack the Penguins in GPPs or cash games.
Jakub Voracek ($13,550) - Voracek is on fire right now. He has at least 1 point in 7 straight games including 5 multi-point games. He is playing like a man possessed right now and I am not willing to fade him tonight.
Others: Ryan Callahan, Tom Wilson
Defense:
Jason Garrison ($10,500) - Garrison seems to have taken over the power play time for Tampa. This gives him a huge bump to his opportunities and a chance to show off his big shot. Columbus has been awful lately and taking lots of penalties, so the Tampa power play should get plenty of chances tonight.
Paul Martin ($5,000) - This price is mind blowing. Martin is reunited with Kris Letang on Pittsburgh’s top defensive pairing and has been on the ice over 25 minutes a game since they made the change. Pittsburgh should score a lot tonight and Martin can just run into assists since he seems to play the entire game.
Others: Lubomir Visnovsky, Justin Braun
