Fantasy Hockey Picks 11-20-14
These fantasy hockey picks will be the key to victory tonight!
Time to break this ridiculous drought of goalies I’ve been playing. 2 game NBA means that your focus should be on NHL tonight. Let’s get that $$$$$$$$$.
Goalies:
Jonathan Quick ($24,750) - With the way my goalies have been playing, I am going to find a way to play the safest option of the night. Hopefully I will be able to find enough value to fit him in and I’m sure we can. The Kings are 9-2-1 at home this season and only 1-3-3 on the road. Anytime Quick is at home play him when you can afford to.
Darcy Kuemper ($15,550) - The Wild are on a 3 game win streak and come into this game rejuvenated with their superstar Zach Parise back in the lineup. Not only is Kuemper playing well but he gets a Flyers team without their best scorer. Usually I like to play Minnesota at home but this spot is very intriguing for the value goalie.
Others: Antti Niemi, Corey Crawford
Centers:
Mike Ribeiro ($8,700) - With Lehner in net, Ribeiro and the Predators get a huge bump. Ribeiro has 6 points in his last 5 games and is pretty consistent for your cash games. Ottawa allows a huge number of shots per game and Ribeiro loves to set up his line mates for great scoring chances. This price is great for cash games.
Cody Eakin ($5,750) - The privilege of skating with Seguin and Benn at home is too good to ignore. He is also getting the power play time with the two studs and that is a recipe for success. I will be shocked not to see Eakin in all of my final lineups tonight.
Others: Joe Thornton, Anze Kopitar
Left Wing:
Zach Parise ($13,700) - I don’t know what else to say about this guy other than he is amazing. He never takes a shift of and it shows in his first game back from injury. With 2 goals in his return from injury he is picking up right where he left off. He will not have to deal with Claude Giroux which is always a good thing.
Brandon Saad ($10,750) - Is skating with Toews and Hossa and that is a place you want to be. The line from last season has been reunited and is clicking well. Saad provides the most value on the top line of Chicago and that is a good place to be tonight.
Others: Jamie Benn, Evander Kane
Right Wing:
Alex Ovechkin ($16,900) - The price has dropped as he is on a 3 game pointless streak but don’t let that scare you off. He is the best scorer in the league and will have plenty of chances tonight. Anytime you can play Ovechkin you do it. Always safe for cash games as he will put up the shots needed to contribute to your roster.
Marian Gaborik ($8,850) - This price is just mind boggling. He is reunited with Anze Kopitar after both of their injuries and had a goal and assist in his last game. Gaborik is a stud goal scorer and that is what we look for in DFS. The price is simply too low and I will be shocked if he is not owned in 75% of GPP lineups tonight.
Others: Corey Perry (Complete price blunder), Kris Versteeg
Defense:
Ryan Suter ($10,250) - Is getting all of the time with the top Minnesota power play unit against the worst penalty kill in the league with the Flyers posting an abysmal 55.6% kill rate. This is just absurd and I am going to take advantage.
Sami Vatanen ($9,800) - The price is simply not rising at the rate it needs to be. He has taken over the blue line position on the power play and is producing. Vatanen had a monster game in his last game and has been producing quality games for awhile. He is often overlooked with Cam Fowler also being on the blue line for the Ducks.
Others: Trevor Daley, Anton Stralman
