Expert Fantasy Golf Plays - The 2014 Barclays
Target these expert fantasy golf plays in the first event of the FedEx Cup.
With 122 of the world’s top 125 pros lacing up this weekend, The Barclays figures to be another slugfest down to the wire just like we saw at Valhalla. Only the top-100 finishers will move onto the next event in the FedEx Cup, so expect everyone to be at the top of their game.
The Barclays is a course-rotating event, with the action taking place at Ridgefield CC this year. Ridgefield has not played host to the event since 2010, and the par-71 course features just two par-5s. Total driving and par-5 stats will therefore be of great help to us when evaluating talent.
Join me in the $109 Angry Birdies, the $15 Mulligan, or the $2.20 Big Easy depending on your price point of choice. PickEm games like the $5.50 Back to the Kuchar are a great way to enjoy fantasy golf too!

NOTE: The below listed cheap plays allow you to fit my top plays of the week. I would take Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, and Adam Scott as the top plays in that order. If I pay that much for one player I’m not going risk it with anyone else.
Matt Kuchar $20,050 - Kuchar is one of my favorite tournament plays. It is a little scary after his withdrawal at the PGA Championship, and that makes me weary of using him in cash games, but if he is healthy I love him this week.
Jhonattan Vegas $13,000 - How can you not take a risk on a guy named Vegas? It’s completely a boom/bust play, but that is what you want for large tournaments. Two top-10 finishes and two finishes outside of the top 100 in his last 4 events make him the essence of risk/reward. This course plays towards his strong points though, and he is worth taking a shot on.
Paul Casey $16,750 - Casey will be playing very determined this weekend. He is battling for a Ryder Cup place (a long shot), while also battling to qualify for the FedEx Playoffs. He has been very solid this year, and has had previous success on this course, with a T12 in 2010 and T7 in 2008. All around a solid value play that won’t hurt your team.
Brendon Todd $15,350 - Todd is extremely underpriced, and playing very consistent golf over the last two months. He needs a huge finish in the next two weeks to put himself into Ryder Cup consideration. There is no reason he should have a bad week, and he opens the salary cap to allow some heavy hitters.
Kevin Kisner $ 13,800 - I’m riding the hot hand with this pick. Kisner has placed T8, T9, T20 in his last three PGA events. Golf is a mental game, and he is in the right state of mind currently.

I have 1 Adam Scott start left , should I start him at the Barclays or save him for another tournament?
I think I would wait. I think there will be a week when the field isn’t as strong and he stands out more than Barclays
